Cumulus Green 2024

Winners

Cumulus, the Global Association of Art and Design Education and Research, is pleased to announce the awarded projects of Cumulus Green 2022: Nurturing Our Planet the signature biennial student competition of the Association that aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year’s theme focused on SDG 2: Zero Hunger. The international jury of Cumulus Green awarded three winners and 35 honorable mentions to the top projects in categories including products, services and systems. They jury sought to recognize exemplars among the 222 submissions from 60 universities and 27 countries that show how to transform our food systems to end food insecurity by creating better conditions for an equitable and environmentally prosperous world.

Prize Winners

Cumulus Green 2022 is proud to announce its three winners:

The first award goes to Self-reliance for the Persecuted – a project developed by Team TDV – Mayank Raj, Manisha Bisht, Yukti Anand from The Design Village, India.

The second-place winner is LixiLab by Team LixiLab – Daniela Barón, María Valentina Forero, María Alejandra Parra, Valentina Pérez, Lina Sánchez, Laura Velasco from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia.

The third prize goes to Rice Bran Foundation, by Kentaro Sohara, Giovanni Bruno, Kaori Kawarazaki, Lisa Koga, Melba Catania from Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

Honorable Mentions

In addition to the winning entries, Cumulus Green 2022 has announced 35 honorable mentions. These projects represent a broad diversity of the Cumulus membership.
