Tadanori Nagasawa

Cultural Engineer, Design Impresario and Educator in Art and Design. Professor and The Executive Chairman of the Board of Trustees since 2023, and Former President of Musashino Art University (MAU) in Japan for eight years since 2015. While he was the president of MAU, he led to establish the new Collage of Creative Thinking for Social Innovation and founded the Department of Creative Innovation and the postgraduate course of Creative Leadership at MAU in 2019. Also he led to open the new creative complex called The Institute of Innovation at Ichigaya, the central area in Tokyo.
Recently, a member of branding advisory group of Tokyo Olympic / Paralympic 2020 and Vice Chairperson of the Committee of The World Design Assembly Tokyo 2023. Founder of Tadanori Nagasawa & Associates Ltd. in 1986, Co-Founder of Design Analysis International (London)Ltd. in 1987 and Japan Design Consultant Association in 1996.
Received MA(RCA) in 1981 from Royal College of Art after graduated Musashino Art University in 1978. Awarded Senior Fellow of Royal College of Art in 2016. Board Member of The Social Welfare Organization Saiseikai Imperial Gift Foundation, Inc. and Japan Public Relations Association.
