Policy & Sustainability Expert, European Commission JRC
Šarūnas Zableckis is a Policy Officer at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre working on the New European Bauhaus (NEB), with a particular focus on its international dimension and links to sustainability, innovation and inclusive transformation. He previously spent over a decade managing and evaluating EU-funded projects under the LIFE Programme and Eco-Innovation initiatives at European Commission agencies CINEA/EASME, covering climate, environment, circular economy, energy and biodiversity.
With more than 20 years of international experience spanning the European Commission, WWF and the World Bank, his work has focused on connecting policy, sustainability, research and implementation. His background combines environmental governance, project evaluation, stakeholder engagement and communication, with particular expertise in integrated and systemic approaches to sustainable development.
